Diet and nutrition are significant components of a pet’s health and wellbeing. At House Paws, we incorporate nutrition discussions into exams and assess both calorie intake and calorie needs. This information can then be translated into feeding instructions for both food and treats. If a dietary change is needed for weight loss/gain, our veterinarians can recommend a variety of prescription and/or non-prescription diets.

Our veterinarians can also make diet and feeding recommendations based on any internal medicine diagnoses as well as a pet’s health history and lab work (eg. diabetes, urinary complications, kidney disease, etc.). We keep prescription diets in stock that are designed for dogs and cats with kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies, diabetes, and dental health. We also have access to several prescription diets for other health conditions. If we don’t have a specific diet in stock, you can order it on our website and have it delivered right to your door.
