Dr. Fischer founded House Paws in 2005. She is a member of several veterinary associations, including the Veterinary Hospitals Association and Peaceful Passing for Pets. She enjoys attending Continuing Education seminars to continuously expand her knowledge of advances in veterinary medicine.
When she’s not working, Dr. Fischer spends time with her husband, Brad, their three children, and River Sally, the family’s Shih Tzu. Her hobbies include gardening and enjoying the outdoors.

Alisha joined the House Paws family in August 2021. She graduated from Globe University in 2012 and has been a practicing CVT since then. Alisha accompanies Dr. Julie on house call appointments.
Alisha and Michael live in Star Prairie, WI. They have four children (Aven, Deegan, Scarlett and Nye), two cats (Brooklyn and Bregetta), and a Great Dane/Mastiff mix (Toothless). Alisha and her family enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and attending car show.
Jen joined the House Paws family in 2010 and has been in the veterinary field as a technician since 1993. She goes out on tech appointments a few times per month, and occasionally will fill in for our other technicians at appointments.
Married with two children, Jen has a Chihuahua named Padme and a Pit Bull mix named Odin. She enjoys paper crafting and spending time with her family up north in Siren, Wisconsin.
Kit began working in our office in 2019, and we are thrilled to have her on staff! She graduated in 2007 from Argosy University with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Kit has worked in various veterinary-related fields throughout her career, including veterinary research at the University of MN.
When Kit is not assisting House Paws clients, she spends her free time running and caring for her 3-year old daughter, Valentina. She has a curious Blue Point Siamese named Reno.
Maddie joined the House Paws family in June 2016. She graduated from Saint Catherine’s University with a B.S. in Dietetics, and promptly realized that she should have focused her academic career on Business & Marketing. Maddie started out working for House Paws as a part-time receptionist, and she is now our full-time Practice Manager.
Maddie and her husband, Ryan, live in White Bear Lake. They are currently pet-less and on the waitlist for a Doberman rescue puppy. She and Ryan spend as much time as they possibly can up North and frequently vacation in Duluth and Ely.
