My mom and dad found out that Maplewood Mall allows pets and their people to walk the bottom level of the mall every Sunday from 10:00am to 11:00am! The entrance that is open for pets is the #5 doorway, right next to JCPenney’s. You do need to make sure that your human brings your vaccination record the first time you go. The fine folks from Critter Country who organized this weekly event also have you sign a one-time waiver.

Currently they are offering just Sundays, but are talking with the mall to see if they can add additional days and times for indoor walking. How exciting!!
You obviously need to be on your best behavior if you are going to go window shopping with your parents. There are clean-up crews that walk around with baggies and disinfectant if there is an accident, as things do happen…. We have been going weekly for over a month now and have not met a dog that has been unfriendly. In fact, today I even met a bird! It is not limited to just pooches! It was fun to see a feathered friend.
Talk to your humans and see if you can do some window shopping with them and get some great exercise too. You may even run into me, my sisters, and my parents! If you do, please stop us and say hi! Hope to see you there!
